This is a special feature that can work with our macros feature to automate certain product creation and uploading. It should be only be enabled when directed by FlickRocket staff.

Product ID

Each product is automatically assigned a short and long product ID. You probably will not need to use the product ID unless you are involved with custom implementation, syncing a product to another platform, or creating copy-protected USB flash drives.

The short product ID is 6 digits long and is found in the parenthesis next to the Product ID label. Immediately following that is the long product ID and the product creation date. The long product ID is four sets of four alphanumeric characters separated by dashes and looks similar to 0007-34CD-56EF-78GH.

DRM Protected Content

This option is enabled by default and controls whether the product will be encrypted and use Digital Rights Management (DRM).

This cannot be changed once the product is saved, so it should not be changed unless absolutely certain the product should not use DRM.

Name

Enter the name of the product. This should typically be the same name as the Public Name in the Localized Information section, but of course it may be different when configuring products with multiple languages.

Version/SKU

The product version or SKU can be entered here.

Comment

The Comment's field is for your own notes and is not displayed except in the admin.

Domain Assignment

The Domain Assignment section is where you will assign the product to one or more themes. A theme is the style or look of the page. For example, you could have a theme for comedy films and another theme for adventure films.

A default theme is added to your shop during account creation, however you can purchase other themes from the FlickRocket Theme Store.

Available Domains

Select the desired theme for the product from the dropdown list and click Add.

Assigned Domains

This is typically set to All Themes. When set to All Themes, the product will be displayed in all available themes in your shop.

If you have multiple themes in your shop, you can choose to display the product in one or more themes.

To remove a theme from the product, click the red X.

Availability

The Availability section is used to control if and when the product is visible in your FlickRocket storefront. Products can be distributed via unlock codes, subscriptions, access groups, invitation, manual assignment, and third-party carts even if made not available in the storefront.

Release Schedule

The Release Schedule options manage whether a product is displayed in the storefront immediately, on a future date, or not at this time. You can also enable the Pre-Order option allowing customers to order the product prior to the release date with the product becoming automatically available to those customers on the planned release date.

The options are as follows:

Make available immediately

Set this option to make the product available immediately in your FlickRocket storefront. This only affect the FlickRocket storefront and will not affect third-party shopping carts or other distribution channels/methods.

Make available on the following date

Use this option to automatically make the product live in your FlickRocket storefront on the release date.

Enable Pre-Order

Enable this option to allow accepting orders prior to the release date. The product will be live in your FlickRocket storefront, but the content will not become accessible until12:00 AM (0:00 UTC) on the release date.

It is important to make certain the content is uploaded and ready for distribution by the release date. You can adjust the release date any time prior to that date, but that should be done only if absolutely necessary and in that event, we would recommend you should notify customers of the delay.

Do not make available at this time

This option prevents display of the product in your FlickRocket storefront. You can use this option while you prepare the product for sale or if you want to manually release the product in the future.

This is also the best option if you have sold a product and no longer want to offer it for sale. This would prevent future orders while allowing continued access to those that have already purchased the product.

If you want to keep the product live, but do not want it to appear in the store catalog, use the Don't list this product in shop catalog in the Advanced Options section.

NOTE: If you have sold a product even once, you should not delete it. If you want to discontinue sales, use the use this option. Deleting the product may prevent existing customers from accessing the content.
