Enable Real-Time Shipping Rates in Your FlickRocket Shop

(FedEx, UPS, or USPS)

Show accurate shipping costs at checkout by integrating real-time shipping rate calculations with your FlickRocket shop. Follow the steps below to set up your preferred carrier and connect it to your store.

Step 1: Create a Carrier Account

Choose your shipping provider and set up a business account.

FedEx

1. Go to https://www.fedex.com
2. Click Sign Up / Log In → Create Account
3. Select Business Account
4. Enter:
   • Business name
   • Shipping address
   • Payment method (credit card or bank account)
5. After setup, save your FedEx Account Number

UPS

1. Go to https://www.ups.com
2. Click Sign Up and create a Business Account

3. Enter:

   • Business info
   • Shipping address
   • Payment method

4. After setup, save your UPS Account Number

USPS

1. Go to https://registration.shippingapis.com
2. Complete the form with your business and contact details
3. USPS will send your Web Tools User ID via email (used for API access)

4. To go live, request access to the production server by emailing:

   uspstechnicalsupport@usps.gov

Step 2: Get API Credentials

These credentials allow FlickRocket to access live shipping rates from the carrier.

FedEx

1. Visit the FedEx Developer Portal
2. Log in and accept any agreements
3. Go to My Projects → Create Project
4. Name your project (e.g., “FlickRocket Shipping”)

5. Select:

   • ✅ Rate Services
   • ✅ Optional: Ship, Track

6. Submit and save the following:

   • API Key
   • API Secret
   • Account Number
   • Meter Number

UPS

1. Log in to UPS Developer Kit
2. Navigate to API Access → Request an Access Key
3. Select your account and generate credentials

4. Save the following:

   • Access Key
   • Username
   • Password
   • Account Number

USPS

• Use the Web Tools User ID received via email
• To enable production access, email uspstechnicalsupport@usps.gov

Step 3: Connect to FlickRocket

1. Purchase the Real-Time Shipping Cost Calculation App:

   https://apps.flickrocket.com/us/shipping/c/1666/realtime-shipping-cost-calculation/p/112001

2. In the FlickRocket Admin, go to:

   Extensions → Apps → Real Time Shipping Cost Calculation

3. Enter your API credentials:

   • FedEx: API Key, Secret, Account Number, Meter Number
   • UPS: Access Key, Username, Password, Account Number
   • USPS: Web Tools User ID

4. Select the shipping services and delivery options you want to display

5. (Optional) Use the Filter Shipping Price Models to restrict available options

   → Be sure to type method names exactly, without spaces

6. Set your Default Package Dimensions (only one size is supported)

7. (Optional) Add a handling fee as a fixed amount or percentage of the shipping cost

Once your API credentials are saved and your settings configured, your FlickRocket shop will automatically show live shipping rates at checkout based on each order’s weight and destination.
